Silvan Baier

I am a PhD student in Organizational Behavior at Harvard Business School and the Department of Sociology at Harvard University. I study how social structures shape and are shaped by the organization, spread, and evaluation of ideas and people. In my research, I primarily use computational methods and rely on large-scale archival data.

Before Harvard, I was an Empirical Research Fellow in the Management & Organizations Department at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. I received an MA in Computational Social Science from the University of Chicago and a BA in Business Administration from the University of St. Gallen.
